Why can't I add [C:\Windows] or [C:\Program Files] or [C:\Program Files(x86)] to NeuShield's protected folders?

NeuShield does not allow adding these folders as protected folders. Protected folders are intended for folders with only user data such as documents and PowerPoint presentations. For operating system data, we already protect it and can recover it using One-Click Restore.

By default, we have the ability to recover system files using the One-Click Restore, so there is no need to do anything for that. However, there are some recommended settings that you can make:

1. Add any additional folders that have user data in them if you have any. By default, we protect the default user data folders like Documents and Pictures. But if you have other non-default folders where you store data, then you should add those as protected folders.
2. Add an uninstall password.
3. Add 2FA to your account to help prevent attackers from gaining access to it.
