Unable to Boot
If you are unable to boot your computer then there are a couple of options you can do to recover your device with NeuShield:
- You can boot to the Windows Recovery Environment and restore the system to a NeuShield snapshot to recover it. See here: How do I run System Restore from the Windows Recovery Environment?
- You can remove the hard drive out of the computer and plug it into another computer that has NeuShield on it and recover the data from that other computer.
Note: if you are plugging your old hard drive into a new device then it is recommended for you to add the protected folders on the old hard drive into the new device. For example, if you protected the "C:\Testing" folder on the old device and the drive appears as the D:\ drive on the new device then you will need to add the "D:\Testing" folder into the new device as a protected folder.
Unable to Log on
If you are unable to log into your computer then you can use the remote One-Click Restore, as long as the computer is able to access the Internet, to restore the computer to a previous working state.
